Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Andrew began his nursing career caring for the geriatric population in a dementia care unit, where he built a strong foundation in compassionate, patient-centered care. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Purdue University and completed his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at the University of Louisville in 2024, specializing as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
Andrew’s clinical background includes working at Norton Children's Hospital on the inpatient pediatric psychiatric unit, as well as in the psychiatric emergency department, where he conducted crisis evaluations. These roles strengthened his dedication to improving mental health outcomes for children and adolescents.
Andrew is especially passionate about pediatric mental health, with a deep interest in the complexities of family dynamics and helping young people build resilience. His approach to care is holistic and strengths-based, emphasizing family involvement in the healing process.
Outside of work, Andrew enjoys traveling—his favorite destination so far has been Rome, Italy. He lives in the greater Louisville area with his partner and their two dogs, and he cherishes spending quality time with friends and family.
